I wanted something that flipped the notion of things that blur into the background of daily life.

The idea for this bench began from a bad experience of buying a pre-fab entryway bench from a big box store. It came, I put in the screws, then everything came loose and no lock-tite could fix it. So I wanted to make something that would actually survive me sitting on it after a long run. So I built this entryway bench using time tested joinery techniques.

Make it an heirloom.

All of the work that went into this bench celebrates the idea of having something that you keep. All of your shoes change, the seasons with it, but the bench will be there.
